Treasurethe Moment’s winning streak ended in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes on September 26 (having won her previous nine starts), where the four-year-old finished runner-up behind Pride Of Jenni.

Second-up there off a slight setback, the Matt Laurie-trained mare had resumed with a stylish victory in the Memsie Stakes, which has proven a strong form race.
There’s still scope for her to progress this campaign, and at $1.80 with Betr, she heads the market for the 2025 Might And Power Stakes.
Buckaroo ($2.50) demands respect, having resumed with an eye-catching third in the Memsie Stakes, where 1400m proved too sharp.
He then finished runner-up in the Underwood Stakes behind Sir Delius, who franked that form with victory in the Turnbull Stakes.
Globe ($8) is the only other runner in single figures.
He’s been ticking over fairly in three runs this preparation, although his class looks tested here against the two favourites at Group 1 weight-for-age level (also nominated for the Hill Stakes in Sydney).

Might And Power Stakes Winners
The Might And Power Stakes, originally known as the Caulfield Stakes, is one of Melbourne’s weight-for-age highlights of the spring. It was first run in 1886, with Isonomy taking the inaugural title.
Over its long history, the race has seen several name changes, including the Yalumba Stakes, Ladbrokes Stakes and Neds Stakes, before adopting the Might And Power title in 2021 in honour of the champion horse who left an indelible mark on Australian racing.
It has long been a key lead-up for Cox Plate contenders and middle-distance weight-for-age horses. The distance has stabilised at 2000 metres for many years, making it a stern test of both speed and stamina.
Under its Caulfield Stakes guise, it was elevated to Group 1 status in 1979, entering the league of Australia’s elite weight-for-age races.
The last three winners are Anamoe (2022), Alligator Blood (2023) and Deny Knowledge (2024).
