Joao Fonseca vs Miomir Kecmanovic Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Fonseca to remain unbeaten in slam first rounds
Joao Fonseca makes his US Open main draw debut against Miomir Kecmanovic. Despite Fonseca's recent dip in form, New York's vibrant atmosphere may help him find his rhythm. Having reached the third round at Wimbledon, he aims for another grand performance. Conversely, Kecmanovic has shown inconsistency but remains a formidable opponent, with prior success in similar conditions at Indian Wells and Miami. As both players vie for advancement, expect a four or five-set match, with the Brazilian possibly edging out. Live streaming is available on Unibet for fans to catch the action.

The Fonseca hype train has slowed down over the last few months, but what better place than New York for the 18-year-old to get back on track, with an electric atmosphere expected for the Brazilian as he looks to improve to 3-0 in Grand Slam first rounds. Fonseca has only won one completed match since Wimbledon, but he's already shown an ability to knuckle down and raise his level when it comes to the slams, beating Andrey Rublev and Hubert Hurkacz at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, along with reaching the third round at the All England Club.
Meanwhile, Kecmanovic continues to be one of the more unpredictable players on tour - he's capable of top 10 tennis on his day, but he's not capable of producing that level for sustained periods. Kecmanovic has never been beyond the second round of the US Open, which is a bit surprising considering he's made quarter-finals of both Indian Wells and Miami in similar conditions. I think this match goes four or five sets, with Fonseca stepping up for the win.
Head To Head
This will be the first career meeting between the pair.
Joao Fonseca Form
Fonseca has registered a 17-13 record at tour-level heading into this clash, but has won just seven completed matches since Miami in March.
The 18-year-old has struggled to find his best tennis in the smaller events, which is understandable for a player who has enjoyed so much success at such a young age and is still experiencing their first year on the main tour.
Consistency is something Fonseca's team will be hoping he can improve on in the coming years, but what can't be argued is the seismic talent levels the Brazilian possesses.
Fonseca drew on that talent to reach the third round of Wimbledon, but he wasn't able to build any momentum this summer, losing early in Montreal and Cincinnati to Tristan Schoolkate and Terence Atmane respectively.
Miomir Kecmanovic Form
It's been a typically solid season for Kecmanovic - he's gone 19-21 for the year, winning his second career title in Delray Beach and coming into this tournament at No. 42 in the world.
Kecmanovic's best period was definitely at the start of the season - he made the semi-finals in Adelaide and the third round of the Australian Open before capturing the aforementioned title in Delray.
As is usually the case with the Serbian, he then went on a long period without doing much, but picked things up a little with a run to the third round of Wimbledon.
Kecmanovic lost early in Washington, Toronto and Cincinnati, but found a bit of form with a quarter-final showing in Winston-Salem last week. The 25-year-old has gone 4-6 throughout his career at the US Open, never going past the second round.

Verdict
Fonseca hasn't been at his best lately, but he's already showed how he raises his level for the slams.
Kecmanovic isn't a stranger to marathon matches, so I think this match goes four or five sets. Backing the Brazilian teenager to advance.
