Daniil Medvedev mounted a stunning comeback in the semi-finals as he came back from 2-0 down to defeat Alexander Zverev 5-7 3-6 7-6 7-6 6-3.

This win followed up a triumph in five sets over Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals, with Medvedev pushed all the way in his last two.

While Medvedev would likely prefer to play against Sinner in the final over Djokovic, he will have to contend with playing a lot of tennis in his last two, while he has lost his last three meetings with Sinner in a poor run of results.
