Despite a genuine query at the 2500m trip, the VRC Oaks market has warmed to She's Extreme, who is the clear class runner of the field.
A Group One Champagne Stakes winner in autumn, the Anthony Cummings-trained filly arrives to Thursday's staying feature off a third in the Spring Champion Stakes, where she was a little unlucky.
At $2.60 with Ladbrokes, She's Extreme heads Zennzella ($5.50), who won the Wakeful Stakes on Derby Day, which is the traditional VRC Oaks lead-up.
The daughter of Snitzel is prepared by the in-form Ciaron Maher & David Eustace partnership, who would arguably be the best staying trainers in Australia.
Although still a maiden runner, Queen Air ($7.50) is one that should relish the 2500m and she was unlucky in the Wakeful.
Ethereal Stakes winner Renaissance Woman ($8) has drifted despite doing nothing wrong, with the Bjorn Baker-trained filly covering ground in the Spring Champion Stakes last start.
She was a one-time VRC Oaks favourite after that Caulfield victory.
Pavitra and Foxy Cleopatra (both $9.50) round out the single figure chances.

VRC Oaks History
The VRC Oaks was first run in 1861 when Palestine was victorious. It has since been won by many of Australia’s most promising fillies including Jameka, Mosheen, Miss Finland and Samantha Miss – all of which have gone on to claim G1 features form then on.
Worth $1 million, the VRC Oaks headlines the Ladies Day, the third day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
It was given Group 1 status in 1979 and the current sponsorship is provided by Kennedy, so the race is currently called the Kennedy Oaks, but the fans know this race as ‘The Oaks’.
