Broadsiding (barrier 9) was the leading two-year-old in the back-end of last season, with two Group 1 wins recorded over a mile and despite contesting the Golden Rose first-up, the James Cummings-trained youngster landed good bets when recording his third Group 1 triumph on September 28.
Golden Mile and Anamoe both won the Caulfield Guineas for Godolphin after contesting the Golden Rose, but neither of those colts saluted in that Sydney feature.
Angel Capital (barrier 7) took out the traditional Caulfield Guineas Prelude lead-up and that second-up victory followed a slick return win in the McKenzie Stakes at Moonee Valley.
Ben Melham is unbeaten in two rides aboard the son of Harry Angel and Melham is aiming for back-to-back wins in this feature, having steered 30/1 outsider Griff to victory in the 2023 Caulfield Guineas.
Evaporate (barrier 8) is a son of Per Incanto who has won all four appearances as a three-year-old (last two over a mile) and he was gelded prior to a runner-up finish on return in his second campaign.
Mayfair (barrier 10) hasn't finished out of the money in five career starts and his recent form through Lady Shenandoah (Flight Stakes winner) and Broadsiding is stacking up nicely.
The Waterhouse & Bott yard also prepare Wanaruah (barrier 3), a three-year-old who won his first two starts over winter, while he has placed in both outings this season.
Champion trainer Chris Waller is searching for his third Caulfield Guineas winner and he's accepted with Private Life (barrier 5), a youngster who saluted first-up with 61.5kg before a fourth-of-eleven finish in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude.
11 runners make up the final field for the 2024 Caulfield Guineas.

Caulfield Guineas Winners
One of the oldest Group 1 races in Melbourne history, the Caulfield Guineas was first run in 1881.
Originally run at Flemington during the War-time period, the Caulfield Guineas has since made its home at Caulfield and it has been the crowning achievement for numerous stallions which have gone on to have lucrative stud careers.
A mile journey since its inception, the Caulfield Guineas was given Group 1 status in 1979, when many of Australia’s top races became Group 1 level. That year, it was taken out by Runaway Kid after Manikato had won the year prior.
Known as a stallion-making race, the Guineas has been won by many of Australia’s best stallions, including the likes of All Too Hard, Lonhro and Redoute’s Choice.
It’s often a good reference for future betting guides, including the Victoria Derby. as Caulfield Guineas winners have gone on to win the Derby on 16 occasions, but the most recent came in 2002 with Helenus.
Anamoe (2021), Golden Mile (2022) and Griff (2023) have won the last three editions of the Caulfield Guineas.
