The first Group 1 on Super Saturday at Flemington is the All-Star Mile, a race that has quickly established itself as one of the key autumn features on the Australian racing calendar.

A high-quality field of middle-distance performers will line up for the weight-for-age contest, with proven Group 1 runners clashing against emerging contenders looking to announce themselves on the big stage.

At $4.40 with Unibet Australia, Pride Of Jenni heads the market for the 2026 All-Star Mile.

2026 All-Star Mile Tips

2026 All-Star Mile Best Bet - Leica Lucy

Last year’s New Zealand Oaks winner has been threatening to win a good race since joining Chris Waller.

She has not quite put it all together despite competitive efforts in all of her Australian runs.

The pick of them would arguably be the second-up third when contesting the Group 1 Toorak Handicap last spring, in which she ran the fastest closing sectionals.

Leica Lucy also ran the fastest last 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m of the Futurity Stakes when resuming on February 21, and the last trial leading into that most recent resumption suggests she has come back even better.

She has drawn wide, but Pride Of Jenni could string them out, so it may not be a major disadvantage. In an open race, we are getting a double-figure price for a galloper who is knocking on the door.
2026 All-Star Mile Next Best Bet - Tom Kitten

Tom Kitten is chasing history and can become the first multiple winner of the All-Star Mile, having claimed the race last year when second-up, which he follows the same pattern this time.

His 2025 spring did not work out, but he returned in excellent order with victory in the Group 3 Kevin Heffernan Stakes at Caulfield.

He also ran the fastest last 200m of the entire February 7 card.

The Godolphin five-year-old thrives in fast-run races, which he is likely to get here.

Being kept on the fresh side with a tick-over trial win should have Tom Kitten spot on for this All-Star Mile defence.
2026 All-Star Mile Value Bet - Sabaj

Here on potential rather than ratings is the four-year-old who is not well in under the weight-for-age conditions.

However, he has always threatened to win a good race and this is probably the target for the son of Manhattan Rain.

He brings a perfect second-up record, which includes a track-and-trip success when saluting in the spring, which he followed up with a Cranbourne Cup victory.

There were excuses when attempting to qualify for the Doncaster Mile in The Ingham.

Sabaj did have his chance first-up on February 14 when he simply found one better, but he is open to improvement and could explode in a high-pressure event.
