2026 Randwick Guineas Best Bet - Sheza Alibi

Looking to become the first filly since Mosheen in 2012 to win the Randwick Guineas is Sheza Alibi, who resumed with a victory as a $1.50 favourite at Caulfield on February 21.

She renews her rivalry with Autumn Boy from last winter after the pair clashed during the Brisbane winter carnival.

Autumn Boy had the better of her on that occasion, but she clearly furnished the following preparation.

That campaign culminated in back-to-back Group victories, including a dominant Sandown Guineas triumph over this distance.

Sheza Alibi has been aimed at this race rather than the Coolmore Classic and the early money has arrived for the filly.

2026 Randwick Guineas Next Best Bet - Autumn Boy

Autumn Boy was set for the Caulfield Guineas in the spring and duly delivered in his target assignment.

He defeated both Observer and Planet Red that day and that form line has continued to hold up strongly both in the spring and more recently.

Observer and Planet Red went on to fill the quinella in last Saturday’s Australian Guineas.

His lead-up run in the Hobartville Stakes was sound when coming from the rear and racing wide on the Rosehill circuit.

He was only warming up late over 1400m, and the step to a mile, along with the switch to the bigger Randwick circuit, now looks the ideal progression.

2026 Randwick Guineas Value Bet - Providence

Providence may ultimately prove better suited to races like the Rosehill Guineas or Australian Derby later in the preparation.

However, he could represent value for wider exotic players here at a bolter’s quote.

He did what was expected first-up when defeating a Wyong maiden field comfortably by 2.5 lengths.

The Chris Waller-trained colt has since moved well in a subsequent trial at Rosehill ahead of this assignment.

His earlier form includes an eye-catching second to Observer in the Moonee Valley Vase before finishing fifth in the Victoria Derby.
