Flemington takes centre stage on Saturday, March 7, with Super Saturday delivering two marquee Group 1 contests in the All-Star Mile (1600m) and the Newmarket Handicap (1200m).

Included are both elite line-ups, along with the fields for all races on the Flemington program, headlined by established stars and emerging sprinting talent set to light up the straight.

All-Star Mile

Pride Of Jenni (barrier 2) generates interest wherever she appears, with the high-profile front-runner set to resume in the 2026 All-Star Mile.

Three of her four Group 1 victories have come over the Flemington mile, including a dominant Empire Rose Stakes triumph on Derby Day last year before failing to handle Heavy ground in the Champions Mile.

Another four-time Group 1 winner engaged in the feature is Treasurethe Moment (barrier 9), with the Matt Laurie-trained mare appearing in need of the run when resuming in the Futurity Stakes on February 21, where she was beaten as favourite.

Prior to a setback, she underlined her weight-for-age credentials first-up last spring when producing a dominant display in the Memsie Stakes.

Tom Kitten (barrier 7) is chasing history as he attempts to become the first multiple winner of the All-Star Mile, having claimed the race last year following an unlucky return in the Futurity Stakes.

While his 2025 spring campaign proved below expectations, he returned in excellent order with victory in the Group 3 Kevin Heffernan Stakes at Caulfield on February 7 and has since won a tick-over trial.

Dual Group 1 winners Stefi Magnetica (barrier 4) and Antino (barrier 1) add further depth to the field, while 2024 Underwood Stakes winner Buckaroo (barrier 6) looks well placed rising to a mile after a runner-up finish in the Futurity Stakes at his return.

Newmarket Handicap

The Newmarket Handicap features one of Australia’s most exciting sprinters in Tentyris (barrier 12), the Godolphin colt who concluded his spring campaign with a brilliant Group 1 victory in the Coolmore Stud Stakes.

The three-year-old was eye-catching first-up in the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes on February 14, charging home from the rear to score over 1000m, and he now appears ideally suited rising to 1200m, with a perfect second-up record.

Angel Capital (barrier 2) will be seeking sharp improvement after a first-up defeat in the Expressway Stakes in Sydney, where he was well supported but failed to settle.

The colt was competitive at the top level throughout the spring, including an unlucky run in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes before a solid performance in The Everest, and he concluded that campaign with a second placing in the CF Orr Stakes behind Jimmysstar.

My Gladiola (barrier 7) has finished runner-up to Tentyris at her past two Group 1 appearances and was a Listed winner up the Flemington straight in September.

From their Black Caviar Lightning Stakes clash, she meets Tentyris with a significant 5kg weight swing in her favour, adding further intrigue to the straight-track rematch.

Caballus (barrier 1) resumed in the Expressway Stakes when finishing second to Joliestar, having been freshened following a Group 3 success in Brisbane in December.

Although he struggled in the Champions Sprint at Flemington, that performance came on Heavy ground after arriving off a Derby Day victory over this course and distance.
