Alexander Zverev is set to face Arthur Fery in the Wimbledon semi-finals, with Zverev heavily favored to advance. Zverev, who is enjoying his best season to date and just captured his first Grand Slam at Roland Garros, has dropped only two sets en route to the final four and is serving exceptionally well. Fery, making history as a wildcard, has enjoyed a remarkable run but may struggle against Zverev's experience and power. The prediction is for Zverev to win in straight sets, with strong serving expected.

Alexander Zverev vs Arthur Fery Wimbledon Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Alexander Zverev looks to end the dream run of wildcard Arthur Fery when the pair clash in the Wimbledon semi-finals on Friday.

After an agonising wait for a first major title, Zverev is now two wins away from securing two in the space of a month. The German has never won a professional grass court title and he'd failed to go beyond the R16 at Wimbledon before this tournament, but he's lost just two sets on his way to the semi-finals and coming off a straight sets beatdown of Taylor Fritz in the previous round - a player who had beaten him in their last seven meetings.

Meanwhile, Fery has stunned the tennis world, becoming the first wildcard to make the semi-finals at Wimbledon since Goran Ivanisevic's glorious run to the title in 2001. Fery had registered just six tour-level victories before this tournament, but he's staged multiple miraculous comebacks to engineer an incredible run to the final four, while he also clobbered Flavio Cobolli in straight sets in the quarter-finals.

It's obviously a wonderful story, but I can't see Fery troubling Zverev here.

Zverev has been serving out of a tree, not just this tournament but for the entire year. Indeed, Zverev has won 88 per cent of his service games in 2026, while he's only dropped serve four times this tournament. If he maintains those numbers, I don't see Fery getting many looks on return, while it goes without saying who has all the experience in these situations.

Not many good betting options for this match, but I like Zverev at evens to win this match in straight sets, while the second seed serving 14+ aces also appeals if he has another good serving day.
  • Zverev is on a 12-match winning streak at Grand Slam level
  • Zverev is 4-7 in Grand Slam semi-finals, but all seven defeats have come vs top five players
  • Zverev has won 21 of his last 22 Grand Slam matches vs players outside the top 100
  • Zverev has won his last five Grand Slam matches vs players outside the top 100 in straight sets
  • Zverev has served 14+ aces in four of his five matches this tournament
  • Fery lost his only previous meeting with a top five player in straight sets

Zverev vs Fery Head To Head

This will be the first career meeting between the pair.

Alexander Zverev Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 43-10
  • Wimbledon Record: 21-9
  • Current Ranking: No. 3
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 2 (2022)

Zverev has enjoyed a career-defining 2026 campaign, finally breaking through for his first Grand Slam title with victory at Roland Garros.

The German had been knocking on the door all season, reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo and Munich, while also finishing runner-up in Madrid. He capped that remarkable run by defeating Flavio Cobolli in a five-set French Open final.

His campaign at the All England Club began with a stern test against emerging Belgian Alexander Blockx, but Zverev dug deep to prevail in four sets. He then produced comfortable victories over Valentin Royer and Marcos Giron to move into the second week.

The 29-year-old's fourth-round encounter with Jiri Lehecka was suspended overnight because of the Wimbledon curfew. After surrendering the third set when play resumed, Zverev regrouped to seal a 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(6) victory before producing a great performance to ease past Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in a touch under two hours.

Zverev saved all four break points he faced and converted four of his six chances in a dominant and clean display, firing down 14 aces to become just the fifth German man in the Open Era to make the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

Arthur Fery Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 9-4
  • Wimbledon Record: 6-3
  • Current Ranking: No. 114
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 114 (June 2026)

It's been an extraordinary fortnight for Fery.

Before this tournament, the 23-year-old had only won six tour-level matches in his career. Now, the former Stanford University standout has won five at Wimbledon alone to put together one of the most incredible runs in recent memory.

Courtesy of this result, Fery will make his top 100, top 90, top 80, top 70, top 60, top 50 and top 40 debut after Wimbledon, currently sitting at a live-ranking of No. 36. If he can somehow keep his run going, he'll rise even higher.

Fery has survived several torrid battles - he dropped the opening set against Damir Dzumhur and Otto Virtanen across his opening two rounds, while he also prevailed in fifth-set tiebreakers against Eastbourne winner Zizou Bergs and a resurgent Grigor Dimitrov.

Which is why Fery would have been delighted with his dominant 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-0 quarter-final triumph over Flavio Cobolli, becoming just the fifth British man in the Open Era to make the Wimbledon semi-finals.

Fery won 22/29 points at the net to defeat Cobolli at a slam for the second time in 2026 following his first round victory over the Italian at the Australian Open.
