Mirra Andreeva and Lois Boisson face off in an exciting quarter-final match at Roland Garros. Andreeva, targeting her second straight French Open semi-final, has been in remarkable form this season. She enters this matchup with a 31-7 record and victories in major tournaments. Boisson, on the other hand, has captured headlines as an unexpected quarter-finalist, having returned from a serious injury earlier this year. Despite Boisson's impressive journey, Andreeva is favored to win and cover a -5.5 games line in their encounter.

Andreeva is the youngest woman to reach consecutive French Open quarter-finals since Martina Hingis in 1997/98, with the 18-year-old continuing her pursuit of a maiden Grand Slam title. Meanwhile, Boisson has stunned everyone with her extraordinary run to the last eight, becoming the lowest-ranked Roland Garros quarter-finalist in four decades. The World No. 361 is also the first woman to make the quarter-finals on her Grand Slam debut since Carla Suarez Navarro in 2008.

It's been a fairytale run for Boisson, but it almost certainly comes to an end here. Topping third seed Jessica Pegula was a monumental moment and all too often, players suffer a letdown in their next match. Andreeva has genuine ambitions of winning the title this tournament and will be ruthless here - backing the teenager to cover a -5.5 line in victory.

Head To Head

This will be the first career meeting between the pair.

Mirra Andreeva Form

Andreeva comes into this showdown with a 31-7 record on the season, establishing herself as a top 10 player and leading contender at every tournament she enters.

The 18-year-old has picked up two WTA 1000 titles this season in Dubai and Indian Wells, while she's advanced into her third consecutive clay quarter-final in Paris after previously doing so in Madrid and Rome.

After making her maiden major semi-final at Roland Garros last year, Andreeva stands one win away from repeating that effort after advancing into the last eight without dropping a set.

Andreeva toppled Cristina Bucsa, Ashlyn Krueger and Yulia Putintseva without dropping more than four games in a set, but had to fight hard to take out Daria Kasatkina 6-3 7-5 in the R16, recovering from 3-5 down in the second and saving a set point.

Lois Boisson Form

Boisson has registered a 21-7 record at all levels in 2025 coming into this clash, but the majority of those victories came on the lower-tier ITF circuit.

It's an absolutely incredible run for the 22-year-old, who suffered an ACL injury that sidelined her for nine months up until February.

It's been a slow grind back on tour, but it's all come together for Boisson in her Grand Slam and Roland Garros debut this past fortnight.

Boisson conquered the experienced Elise Mertens in three sets in the opening round before overcoming Anhelina Kalinina and Elsa Jacquemot.

But the standout moment undoubtedly came in the R16 when Boisson stunned third seed Pegula, coming back from a set down to prevail 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in front of a packed out Court Philippe Chatrier.

Verdict

It's been a stunning tournament for Boisson, but it almost certainly comes to an end here.

The letdown factor will be real as Andreeva covers a -5.5 games line on her way to the semi-finals.
