Tentyris, a standout Godolphin colt, has concluded his spring campaign with a stellar victory in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, cementing his status as Australia's most exciting sprinter. With a perfect two-from-two second-up record, he is the odds-on favorite at $1.85 for the upcoming 2026 Newmarket Handicap. The colt's impressive past performances, including strong showings in prestigious Group 1 races, make him a formidable contender. Competitors like Angel Capital, My Gladiola, and Caballus trail with longer odds, highlighting Tentyris's dominance this season.

The most exciting sprinter in Australia is Tentyris, a Godolphin colt who culminated his spring campaign with a brilliant victory in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes.

The three-year-old was eye-catching first-up in the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes on February 14, charging from the rear to score over 1000m, and he now looks ideally suited stepping up to 1200m, with a perfect two-from-two second-up record.

At $1.85 with Neds, Tentyris is a clear odds-on favourite to win the 2026 Newmarket Handicap.

Angel Capital will be looking for sharp improvement after a first-up miss in the Expressway Stakes in Sydney, where he was well supported but failed to settle.

The colt was competitive in Group 1 company throughout spring, including an unlucky Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes attempt before a solid Everest showing, and he concluded that preparation with a second in the CF Orr Stakes behind Jimmysstar.

He shares an $8 quote with My Gladiola, who has finished runner-up to Tentyris at her past two Group 1 outings, and she was a Listed winner up the Flemington straight in September.

Caballus ($12) resumed in the Expressway Stakes when second to Joliestar, having been freshened off a Group 3 victory in Brisbane in December.

While he failed in the Champions Sprint at Flemington, that effort came on a Heavy surface after arriving off a Derby Day win over this track-and-trip.
