While she didn’t run a strong 2500m as a beaten odds-on favourite in the VRC Oaks last spring, Getta Good Feeling has been in very good form either side of that performance, which includes three Group victories.

One of those wins came over this distance in the Wakeful Stakes on Derby Day, while the Danny O’Brien-trained filly has won both attempts this campaign and stepped from 1200m to 1600m last start when saluting at Caulfield.

She has also since won a Geelong jump-out following that March 21 performance, and at $2.60 with Unibet Australia, Getta Good Feeling heads the market for the 2026 Australasian Oaks.

Chris Waller is aiming for a third victory in the Australasian Oaks and prepares Panova, who rounded out her spring campaign with back-to-back Group 3 victories.

While unproven over this distance, including a last-start seventh when contesting the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes, she had been building into the campaign well, highlighted by an eye-catching fifth-of-11 in the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes second-up on March 14.

Panova shares a $6 quote with Mating Call, who placed behind Get A Good Feeling over a mile at Flemington in the spring and last start won the Group 3 Auraria Stakes, which is one of the key lead-up's to the Australasian Oaks.

Salty Pearl ($7) is another to have contested the Vinery Stud Stakes, finishing third there after a strong Caulfield victory over a mile, and she has since completed a Cranbourne jump-out on April 13.

After Summer ($9) also brings strong Sydney form lines, having almost recorded an upset victory in the Vinery Stud Stakes before finishing third-of-12 in the Australian Oaks on April 11.

The Autumn Sun filly was also Group-placed twice in the spring, which includes a third-place finish in the VRC Oaks.

Australasian Oaks Winners

The Australasian Oaks is one of two headline acts on the first Group 1 meeting of the Adelaide Autumn Carnival, with this 2000m fillies feature running alongside the Robert Sangster Stakes.

The inaugural running of the Australasian Oaks in 1982 was won by Rose Of Kingston, the eventual Australian Horse of the Year.

This race has produced successful mares including Zarita, Lights Of Heaven, May’s Dream and Anamato, with the latter the dam of champion Anamoe.

Affaire A Suivre (2023), Vibrant Sun (2024) and Benagil (2025) have won the last three editions of the Australasian Oaks.
