Elena Rybakina vs Maria Sakkari Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Rybakina targets fifth win over Sakkari

It's been a tumultuous last 12 months or so for Rybakina, but she's gradually getting back to some of her best tennis and what better tournament to make an impact again than where she captured her one and only Grand Slam title back in 2022. Rybakina is a lethal grass courter and has won 21 of her last 27 matches on the surface, while Sakkari - even at her best - always struggled on the lawns, with her best result at Wimbledon being a third round.

Rybakina has enjoyed ample success in this matchup, but there's never been a real blowout, which is why I'm backing the Kazakh to win with Over 18.5 total games. Sakkari has pushed this match over 18.5 games in all five previous meetings, but it's unlikely the Greek can outhit Rybakina on this surface.

Rybakina leads 4-1, with three of the five meetings going the distance. Rybakina was a 6-4 6-3 winner in the most-recent clash at the United Cup earlier this season.

Rybakina has compiled a solid 30-12 record so far this season and is starting to produce some of her best tennis on a more regular basis.

The 2022 Wimbledon champion struggled with injury, form and off-court disruptions over the last 12 months, but appears to have put most of that behind her.

Rybakina captured her first title since April 2024 when she lifted the silverware in Strasbourg shortly before Roland Garros, where she led Iga Swiatek 6-1 2-0 before succumbing in the fourth round.

It wasn't a great build-up on grass, with Rybakina falling in the second round of Queen's Club and quarter-finals of Berlin, but she made light work of Elina Avanesyan in her Wimbledon opener, prevailing 6-2 6-1.

Rybakina has never lost before the R16 at Wimbledon and was a semi-finalist last year.

It's been an alarming fall from grace for Sakkari, who has gone from a career-high ranking of No. 3 in 2022 to a current mark of No. 77.

Sakkari has only won back-to-back matches once throughout 2025, with her best result coming at Madrid where she made the R16.

The Greek has especially struggled at the slams, where she has lost in the first round in seven of her last 10 major appearances.

The 29-year-old got over the first hurdle at Wimbledon, getting the better of Anna Blinkova 6-4 6-4. Sakkari has always struggled at The Championships, with her best result being four third round finishes.
