The 22-year-old was dominant in Cincinnati, winning her last 12 sets of the tournament - including a 6-2 6-4 victory over Jess Pegula in the final.
Gauff will now be hoping to continue her winning momentum into the US Open, where she won the title in 2023, but has lost in the R16 in her last two appearances.

Hardcourt form this summer for Sonmez has been solid without being spectacular - she's gone 3-3 across Memphis Toronto and Cincinnati, losing 6-3 6-2 to Amanda Anisimova in the second round of the latter.
The 24-year-old made the second round on her US Open debut last year, going down in three sets to Kostyuk.
