Alexander Blockx vs Karen Khachanov US Open Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Khachanov aims for second US Open semi-final
Karen Khachanov is tipped to win his US Open quarter-final clash against newcomer Alexander Blockx. Despite Blockx's impressive run, he faces physical challenges from a rib injury and has taken medical timeouts in his last two matches. Khachanov, in excellent form after defeating top seeds and being more experienced, is expected to capitalize on Blockx's condition. The match is likely to be competitive but short, with under 40.5 total games predicted. For live streaming, viewers can watch and bet online, with restrictions and requirements applying.

Blockx has enjoyed a stellar US Open main draw debut, battling his way into a first major quarter-final - but I am a bit concerned about his physical state coming into this contest.
The 21-year-old has taken medical timeouts in his last two matches, needing painkillers to finish both as he deals with a suspected rib issue.
Going into a Grand Slam quarter-final against a competitor as dogged as Khachanov at anything less than 100 per cent fitness isn't ideal.
Khachanov is a beast and you never have to worry about his fitness - he's coming off a five-set dispatch of Learner Tien and also knocked out third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime earlier in the tournament.
It's actually the first time since 2018 that Khachanov hasn't been seeded at a Grand Slam, but he's found his best form again and it's going to take a special performance to beat him in this sort of form.
Blockx is capable, but I just get the feeling he might have run his race for this tournament. He keeps soldiering on, but Khachanov is a seasoned player that knows how to exploit any fitness problems or inexperience at this level. I'm taking the Russian to win with Under 40.5 total games.

Alexander Blockx Form Analysis
- 2026 ATP Record: 20-10
- US Open Record: 4-0
- Current Ranking: No. 34
- Career-High Ranking: No. 32 (July 2026)
It's been a stellar breakout season for Blockx - he's cracked the top 50 and is currently at a live ATP ranking of No. 26 following this run to the US Open quarter-finals.
Blockx barely featured at tour-level until the clay swing, but he's made a seamless transition, winning 20 of his 30 matches, including big runs to make the semi-finals of the Madrid Masters and final of Estoril.
The 21-year-old didn't have a great lead-in to the US Open, going 2-2 across Canada and Cincinnati, but he's raised his level in New York.
Blockx has become the first Belgian to make the last eight at Flushing Meadows, starting with comfortable wins over Tomas Barrios Vera and Marco Trungelliti before stunning fifth seed Flavio Cobolli 6-7(4) 6-3 6-0 6-3.
The Belgian has picked up a rib issue during the tournament, but battled through the pain to conquer Francisco Cerundolo 6-3 4-6 7-5 7-5 in the R16, saving 14 of 17 break points.
Karen Khachanov Form Analysis
- 2026 ATP Record: 20-18
- US Open Record: 15-10
- Current Ranking: No. 50
- Career-High Ranking: No. 8 (2019)
It's been a bit of a wild season for Khachanov, but he's found his best tennis at an opportune time and is now favourite to make a second US Open semi-final, with this run always propelling him back into the top 40.
Take a look at this:
Khachanov's Win-Loss Record in 2026:
- 10-15 at ATP tournaments
- 10-3 at Grand Slams
You can see that Khachanov is struggling to find motivation in the smaller events this year, but has lifted at the slams, making the third round of the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon - and now he's into the last eight at the US Open.
Khachanov arrived in New York on a four-match losing streak - including losing in straight sets to Bernard Tomic in Los Cabos - but has now defeated two top 15 players in Felix Auger-Aliassime and Learner Tien to return to the last eight.
The 30-year-old beat Nick Kyrgios in five sets in the 2022 US Open quarter-finals and will be hoping for similar outcome here.
