Aryna Sabalenka vs Camila Osorio US Open Tips, Prediction & Live Stream
Two-time US Open defending champion Aryna Sabalenka isn't at her best, but I'll have faith in the World No. 1 to continue her destructive form in Grand Slam opening rounds and cover a -6.5 line against Camila Osorio, who is underpowered against elite opponents with a 2-13 record vs the top 10.
Without a title since March and failing to go beyond the R16 in her last three tournaments, Sabalenka is desperate to restore some confidence and form as she bids for a third straight US Open title. She's also in danger of losing her World No. 1 ranking in New York, with Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff and Jess Pegula breathing down her neck.
It will be interesting to see what transpires over the next fortnight, but I do think this is a very favourable opening round draw for Sabalenla.
Osorio is a fighter, but she just doesn't have the firepower or one big weapon to really trouble top-tier opponents. The Colombian also hasn't won back-to-back matches this summer and won just three games vs Ann Li in Monterrey last week, so not the most encouraging of form lines.
Obviously Sabalenka has some questions to answer, but she's traditionally dominant in first rounds at the majors and this is a good matchup - will take Sabalenka to cover a -6.5 line at plus money as the one and only bet for this one.

Aryna Sabalenka Form Analysis
- 2026 WTA Record: 40-8
- US Open Record: 35-8
- Current Ranking: No. 1
- Career-High Ranking: No. 1 (2023)
It was a sizzling start to the season for Sabalenka as she won 26 of her opening 27 matches, winning titles in Brisbane, Indian Wells and Miami, along with reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
However, Sabalenka has struggled since a quarter-final exit in Madrid. Indeed, the 28-year-old hasn't made won a title or made a final since Miami in March, while she's also failed to go past the R16 in her last three tournaments at Wimbledon, Canada and Cincinnati.
Sabalenka was knocked out of Canada by Ekaterina Alexandrova before being stunned in straight sets by Sara Bejlek in Cincinnati, meaning she arrives in New York under some big question marks.
The World No. 1 was in action during opening week in the mixed doubles with Novak Djokovic and will be hoping to make it 15 straight wins at the US Open after winning the title in 2024-25.
Camila Osorio Form Analysis
- 2026 WTA Record: 15-16
- US Open Record: 2-5
- Current Ranking: No. 59
- Career-High Ranking: No. 33 (2022)
Osorio hit her career-high ranking four years ago, but hasn't been able to kick on from that and arrives at this tournament outside the top 50 with a negative win-loss record at tour-level for the year.
The 24-year-old's best results this year have been third round runs at Indian Wells and Roland Garros, along with a quarter-final on the clay of Rabat.
It hasn't been a great summer in the lead-up to the US Open, with Osorio going 2-4 on hardcourts and losing her last three matches - including a crushing 6-2 6-1 loss to Ann Li in Monterrey last week.
Osorio also doesn't have a good record in New York, with her last win at the US Open coming back in 2022, while she was beaten 6-0 in the third by Lulu Sun in the first round last year.
