Kalinskaya looked down and out after a second set bagel in the heat against Osario, but recovered for a 6-3 0-6 6-2 victory.
The Russian then recovered from 1-4 down in the first set and twice stopped Potapova from serving out the match in the decider before coming back from 1-4 down in the match tiebreak for a memorable 6-4 2-6 7-6(7) triumph.

It's been an incredible tournament for Chwalinska, who's become the first qualifier to reach the French Open quarter-finals since 2020.

However, there were signs Chwalinska was rising ahead of Paris - she took out the WTA 125 title in Oeiras and backed it up with a dominant run through qualifying.
The 24-year-old has continued her career-best form in the main draw, conquering Olympic gold medalist Qinwen Zheng and former major semi-finalists Maria Sakkari and Elise Mertens. Chwalinska then held her nerve to ease past home hope Diane Parry 6-3 6-2 to reach the last eight.
