Coco Gauff vs Elina Svitolina Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Gauff to edge close quarter-final contest
Coco Gauff continues her campaign for a third Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, facing Elina Svitolina in the quarter-finals. Gauff, having previously won the US Open and Roland Garros, is in excellent form after a striking win over Karolina Muchova. Historically, Gauff has secured titles post-victory over Muchova. On the other hand, Svitolina, undefeated this year, is determined to overcome her Grand Slam quarter-final hurdle, boasting a 9-0 record this season. Predictions suggest a tight match, with Gauff slightly favored to edge out Svitolina in three sets.

Coco Gauff vs Elina Svitolina Tips, Prediction & Live Stream
Coco Gauff continues her quest for a third Grand Slam title when she comes up against the ever-present Elina Svitolina in the Australian Open quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
Gauff has already secured major silverware at the US Open and Roland Garros - and now the American, still just 21 years of age, is targeting Australian Open glory in Melbourne. Gauff is coming off a great win over Karolina Muchova and if you believe in omens, she could very will be set for that third Grand Slam trophy. Indeed, in each of the last four tournaments that Gauff has defeated Muchova, she’s gone on to win the title (Cincinnati and US Open in 2023, Beijing in 2024 and the United Cup in 2025). Meanwhile, Svitolina has stealthily made her way through the draw without dropping a single set, conquering teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva in the R16, meaning she’s still unbeaten for the year with a 9-0 record after collecting the Auckland title earlier this month. The Ukrainian remains one of the steadiest and toughest players on tour, but taking that next step at the majors has always proven problematic.
Indeed, Svitolina has a poor 3-9 record in Grand Slam quarter-finals - this is a hurdle she struggles to overcome. Gauff meanwhile is 5-4 at this stage of a major and has won the two previous meetings - although both have gone the distance. With Gauff’s serve still suspect and Svitolina a strong returner, I can’t see the American winning this easily. I’m backing Gauff with Over 18.5 total games and the World No. 3 prevailing in another three-setter.

Gauff comes into this contest having won seven of her eight matches this season, remaining one of the leading contenders for the Australian Open title behind Arena Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina.
The 21-year-old built up some confidence ahead of arriving in Melbourne when she conquered fellow top three star Iga Swiatek at the United Cup and she’s put herself in another position to challenge for major silverware here.
Gauff eased past Kamilla Rakhimova and Olga Danilovic in straight sets in her opening two rounds and raised her level when needed in her last two matches.
The American was able to edge out countrywoman Hayley Baptiste in three sets in the third round before toppling the dangerous Karolina Muchova 6-1 3-6 6-3 to reach the last eight for the third consecutive time at the Australian Open. Gauff put her foot on the accelerator early at 1-1 in the deciding set, winning 12 of the next 13 points to take a 4-1 lead, ultimately closing out the match with ease.
