Jannik Sinner vs Aleksandar Vukic Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner continues his pursuit of a maiden Wimbledon title when he comes up against Aussie Aleksandar Vukic in the second round on Centre Court on Thursday.

Sinner has won three of the last six Grand Slam titles, but Wimbledon is the only tournament where he's so far failed to reach the final - does that change over the last fortnight? You'd be a brave man to bet against him.

The Italian was once again ruthless in his opening round, dropping a bagel on countryman Luca Nardi in a crushing straight sets defeat. Sinner dished out three bagels on his way to the French Open final last month, so $20 for the top seed to win the opening set by a correct score of 6-0 looks very tempting here. Vukic has really struggled in 2025, only winning two tour-level matches since making the third round of the Australian Open and he received one of the best possible draws in his opening round against Tseng Chun-Hsin, battling through in four sets. Unfortunately, I can't see the Aussie doing anything to trouble Sinner here, so another easy straight sets win is backed for the World No. 1.

Head To Head

Sinner leads 2-0, prevailing 6-2 6-4 in Melbourne in 2021 and 6-2 6-3 in Sofia in 2022 - and he's obviously a far better player today...

Sinner heads into this encounter with a 19-3 record on the season and looking to make up for lost time after his three-month suspension following his successful Australian Open title defence.

The Italian returned at his home tournament of Rome and immediately made the final, but he was thwarted by Carlos Alcaraz.

However, the real heartbreak was yet to come for Sinner, who blew three championship points against the Spaniard in the Roland Garros final, ultimately losing a classic in five sets.

Sinner was clearly reeling from that defeat and suffered a second round loss to Alexander Bublik in the second round of Halle, seeing his 66-match winning streak vs players outside the top 20 come to an end.

The 23-year-old got back on track in his Wimbledon opener, easing past Luca Nardi 6-4, 6-3, 6-0, dropping just 12 points on serve. Sinner has never made the Wimbledon final and was bundled out in five sets in the quarter-finals last year by Daniil Medvedev.

Aleksandar Vukic Form

It's been a tough season for Vukic, who comes into this clash with a negative 6-15 record and down at No. 93 in the world from a previous career-high of No. 46.

Vukic started the season with a bang by reaching the third round of the Australian Open, defeating Sebastian Korda and coming close to knocking out Jack Draper, ultimately losing in five.

The Aussie has only won a handful of matches since, but he did restore some confidence with some qualifying wins on grass in the lead-up to Wimbledon, defeating the likes of Jenson Brooksby and Adam Walton.

The 29-year-old benefitted from a very kind draw in his Wimbledon opener, scraping past Tseng in four sets, 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(5).

Verdict

In contrast to Alcaraz, Sinner is absolutely ruthless in the early rounds of slams and has posted four bagel sets since the French Open.

Backing Sinner to win this easily and a first set correct score of 6-0 offers value for a small stake.
