The Australasian Oaks is run at Morphettville as the first of two Group 1 races on the opening day of the 2026 Adelaide Racing Carnival.

This three-year-old fillies contest over 2000m consistently draws a strong mix of Sydney and Melbourne raiders alongside local hopes, and the 2026 edition is no exception.

At $2.90 with EliteBet, Getta Good Feeling heads the 2026 Australasian Oaks market.

2026 Australasian Oaks Tips

2026 Australasian Oaks Best Bet - Getta Good Feeling

Danny O’Brien looks to have timed the campaign with Getta Good Feeling, who has won a jump-out since her second-up victory at Caulfield on March 21 as an odds-on favourite.

That win came stepping from 1200m to 1600m after a surprise first-up victory via the Inglis Sprint up the Flemington straight.

There wasn’t much to fault through her second campaign, having overcome difficulty to break through and progress through the grades.

She overcame trouble third-up when saluting over a mile in a Group 2 before a Group 1 placing in the Thousand Guineas, and then delivered at an odds-on quote in the Wakeful Stakes over this trip.

The 2500m of the VRC Oaks proved too far, which was her only time finishing out of the money, and versus a few here that may have this as an afterthought, this looks a genuine target.
2026 Australasian Oaks Next Best Bet - Mating Call

The most recent filly to complete the Auraria Stakes–Australasian Oaks double was Sopressa back in 2018.

Mating Call comes through that Group 3 lead-up with a stylish win recorded when third-up, and getting to 2000m should not bother her based off that last-start performance.

The progression has been strong with this race in mind, improving with every run this autumn as she now arrives fourth-up.

She also has a solid grounding from her first campaign, going across the border for three Group races after an eye-catching Balaklava debut win.

From the Auraria Stakes, Mating Call clearly profiles as the one to follow out of that 1800m event.
2026 Australasian Oaks Value Bet - Just Kick

Her first campaign pointed towards a galloper with a big future, showing enough sharpness to place over 1100m on debut.

She backed that up 12 months ago when placing at Listed level on Anzac Day.

While more competitive early, she did not look the same horse earlier this preparation and was spelled after a well-held seventh-of-13 at Group 3 level at this distance.

This time in suggests she may have turned the corner, including producing the second-fastest last 200m of the Alexandra Stakes when resuming at Caulfield, a race that was taken out by Getta Good Feeling.

She did not have the same change of speed as the winner, but picked up again late, and while unsuited last start over 1700m, Just Kick got home with the race-fastest closing sectionals.
