Mirra Andreeva vs Marta Kostyuk Tips, Prediction & Live Stream
Mirra Andreeva and Marta Kostyuk square off for the third time this year with a place in the Roland Garros final up for grabs on Thursday in Paris.
With the WTA 'Core 4' of Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina all eliminated before the semi-finals, there's an excellent opportunity for one of the four remaining players to secure a maiden Grand Slam title. This is the showpiece semi-final and the winner will be the big favourite in the final against either qualifier Maja Chwalinska and Diana Shnaider.
Kostyuk is simply on fire - she's gone a perfect 17-0 on clay and has only lost against Sabalenka and Rybakina when fully fit throughout 2026. The Ukrainian won 13 of the last 14 points against countrywoman Elina Svitolina in the quarter-finals, backing up her big victory over Swiatek.
Andreeva meanwhile is into her second major semi-final, crushing veteran Sorana Cirstea for the loss of just three games in her quarter-final. The 19-year-old is now searching for multiple top 20 wins in the same tournament for the first time in 14 months.
It's shaping as a cracking encounter, but I have to side with Kostyuk - I did after all back her to emerge from her quarter at $6.00 and have a $23 ticket on her to win outright. She's only enhanced her title credentials with her run to the semi-finals and she's beaten Andreeva twice already this year - both in straight sets.
I think this will be closer and Andreeva was close to winning a set in both of those Brisbane and Madrid defeats. But the Russian still hasn't shown much consistency in beating elite players over the last year, while Kostyuk is a proven force right now - backing the Ukrainian to edge this in three. And don't sleep on Kostyuk's added layer of motivation facing a Russian opponent here - she's unbeaten against them this year...

Mirra Andreeva Form Analysis
- 2026 Record: 34-9
- French Open Record: 16-3
- Current Ranking: No. 8
- Career-High Ranking: No. 5 (July 2025)
No player has won more matches than Andreeva's 34 so far this season - and the teenager's hard work has been rewarded with a second Grand Slam semi-final appearance this tournament.
Andreeva has won 20 of her 23 matches on clay this year, picking up the title in Linz and finishing runner-up to Kostyuk in Madrid before a quarter-final run in Rome.
The 19-year-old has dropped just one set on her way to a second French Open semi-final, with that coming in the second round against Marina Bassols Ribera. Andreeva has only dropped 14 games combined in her wins over Marie Bouzkova, Jil Teichmann and Sorana Cirstea.
It was a statement performance in the quarter-finals against the in-form Cirstea, with Andreeva surging to a 6-0 6-3 victory in just 56 minutes. Safe to say she was super happy about it too.
"I'm super happy that I'm going to be playing in semis again." Andreeva said post-match.
"Super happy with how I was playing today. I felt like it was one of my best matches so far this tournament. Super happy to be back in semis. It was a great match with Sorana. So I'm just super happy about the win today."
Marta Kostyuk Form Analysis
- 2026 Record: 23-4
- French Open Record: 13-7
- Current Ranking: No. 15
- Career-High Ranking: No. 15 (May 2026)
Kostyuk isn't flying under the radar anymore. I felt she wasn't commanding the respect she deserved, even after her maiden WTA 1000 breakthrough in Madrid, but she sure is now.
Once a teenage prodigy, Kostyuk has finally put her game together and she's reaping the rewards, making a first Grand Slam semi-final here in Paris, extending her perfect clay record this year to 17-0, which also included a title in Rouen.
The Ukrainan toppled Oksana Selekhmeteva, Katie Volynets and Viktorija Golubic before raising her level for a brilliant 7-5 6-1 dispatch of four-time champion Iga Swiatek.
Kostyuk then regrouped strongly from a second set lapse against Rome champion Elina Svitolina in the quarter-finals, winning 13 of the last 14 points in a 6-3 2-6 6-2 triumph. Only four players - the Williams sisters, Swiatek & Victoria Azarenka - have compiled longer winning streaks on clay this century.
