Outright early favourite Elite Street has drawn barrier 10 for Saturday's Winterbottom Stakes.

With no eastern raiders venturing over for the 2021 Perth Summer Carnival, the task of defending the Winterbottom crown has been made much easier for the leading Western Australian sprinter, who is undefeated in three runs this spring.

His biggest threat could well be stable mate Wilchino (barrier one), who doesn't have a dissimilar profile to Elite Street last year, as an in-form runner that has quickly worked through the grades.

12yo veteran Rock Magic (barrier seven) will have his swansong in the 2021 Winterbottom Stakes, with Money Matters (barrier six) and Long Beach (barrier nine) the two other representatives from the Chris & Michael Gangemi yard.

Luke Fernie is another trainer with multiple runners via ex-Victorian Outrageous (barrier 14) and Iseered Iseered (barrier five), the latter being one of the more progressive sprinters in Western Australia.

Red Can Man (barrier 11), Laverrod (barrier eight) and Indian Pacific (barrier 12) will all be familiar names to eastern state fans, the former two having won in Melbourne this year, while Indian Pacific only just missed in the 2021 Newmarket Handicap when runner-up to Zoutori.

A capacity line-up of 16 (and two emergencies) make up the final field for the 2021 Winterbottom Stakes.
