Sheza Alibi continues to go from strength to strength, having built off a strong Victorian debut for the Moody and Coleman yard when placed at Listed level before winning her next four starts.
The highlight was her last-start victory via a dominant performance in the Randwick Guineas, and under handicap conditions she drops sharply to just 49kg in the Doncaster Mile where, at $1.80 with Ladbrokes, she is the outright favourite to win the 2026 edition.
The only other runner at single-figure odds is Autumn Boy ($5), who was well held in second behind Sheza Alibi in the Randwick Guineas before bouncing back with a win in the Rosehill Guineas on Golden Slipper Day, and he returns to 1600m with the blinkers reapplied for this feature.
Another in-form three-year-old is Sixties ($13), who has won three of four starts this campaign and bounced back from an Australian Guineas defeat with victory in the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes on March 14.
Attica placed in the Randwick Guineas behind both Sheza Alibi and Autumn Boy before finishing eighth in the George Ryder Stakes a fortnight ago, and the three-year-old looks better suited back to handicap conditions with just 50kg.
Attica is a $17 chance alongside Headley Grange and Lady Shenandoah.
Headley Grange worked through the grades last year and has caught the eye in both runs this prep, while Lady Shenandoah has been sound in three efforts this time in and steps to the mile, where her last attempt at this track-and trip-produced a dominant Group 1 Flight Stakes victory in 2024.

Doncaster Mile Winners
The Doncaster Mile is one of Sydney’s most famous races and the pinnacle of day one of The Championships.
Also known as the Doncaster Handicap, the race was traditionally run every Easter Monday before being repositioned as one of the showpiece events of The Championships, the grand final of autumn racing in Sydney.
The George Ryder Stakes is traditionally the key lead-up event for the Doncaster Mile, with the Ranvet Stakes, Randwick Guineas and All-Star Mile also among the main form references.
Mr Brightside (2023), Celestial Legend (2024) and Stefi Magnetica (2025) have claimed the past three editions of the Doncaster Mile.
