Liverpool have started the season in shaky fashion and Ipswich have been solid for the most part - I'm taking both teams to score with the Tractor Boys covering a +1.5 start. Alexander Isak and Julio Encisco are backed for player props.

Liverpool remain a work in progress. Andoni Iraola's side haven't led at any stage this season, coming from behind to secure 2-2 draws against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest. Their defence looks vulnerable, but they still have lots of firepower in the final third.

Meanwhile, Ipswich were brilliant in a 2-1 win over Sunderland and were arguably the better team in the first half last week against Man United before collapsing in the second stanza.

With the Tractor Boys unbeaten in their last 30 home games, I think they can produce another competitive performance at Portman Road. So Ipswich at +1.5 and both teams to score are both backed.

Looking at player props and Ipswich playmaker Julio Enciso has been in great touch to start the season, continuing on from an impressive World Cup with Paraguay. Enciso has already laid on two assists and attempted six shots across his opening two outings. Backing him for 2+ here.

Alexander Isak got off the mark in last week's win over Forest and should lead the line again here - expect the Swedish striker to take advantage of what should be multiple chances.

Liverpool hold a 39-14 record over Ipswich, with 21 draws. The Reds have won the last four top flight meetings by a combined score of 17-1.

Ipswich produced a superb performance to conquer Sunderland 2-1 in their opening game back in the top flight.

Enciso sliced open Sunderland's defence with a magical run to set up Emersonn for the opening goal, with Jack Clarke scoring the winner in the 90th minute.

The Tractor Boys backed it up with a 3-1 dispatch of Leicester in the EFL Cup, but came crashing back down to earth with a 5-2 defeat at Old Trafford against Man United last weekend.

Ipswich were impressive in the first half, with Leif Davis putting his side ahead, but conceded three goals in a 12-minute period in the second stanza, including an own goal and a penalty.

Azor Matusiwa, Jack Taylor, Emersonn and Florentino Luis are all in doubt for this one, while Jaden Philogene-Bidace is ruled out with an ankle injury.

Liverpool Form Analysis

Not a convincing start to the season for Liverpool.

Their defence looks extremely vulnerable and they've been outplayed for large chunks of both 2-2 draws with Newcastle and Forest.

Dominik Szoboszlai rescued a late point for the Reds at St. James Park on opening day via the penalty spot, while Liverpool were forced to come from behind twice at Anfield last week against Forest.

Isak opened his account for the new season to draw the Reds level at 1-1, while Victor Munoz scored his first goal for the club with a cracking strike, earning another share of the spoils.

Liverpool signed French World Cup winger Bradley Barcola from PSG during the week and he will likely feature off the bench for this one.

Virgil van Dijk, Jeremy Jacquet, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez are likely to start in defence once more and will be hoping for improvement.

Cody Gakpo was linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, but ultimately decided to stay, meaning he will face stiff competition from Barcola for a starting spot going forward.
