With several horses resuming from breaks and others stepping back in grade, the meeting shapes as one where form from previous preparations may hold the key.

Race 4 No. 7 I’m Helro

The four-year-old gained plenty of experience in jumpout contests, registering wins in four such events prior to making her debut earlier this season.

That debut saw the mare race on the pace before finishing a solid fifth, beaten just over three lengths in an 1100m maiden at Horsham in October.

That event has since produced a number of subsequent winners, with the second, fourth and ninth all going on to score.

Lindsey Smith’s representative returns from a let-up here and is not expected to have any issues with the drop in distance after failing to see out the 1100m on debut.

Fred Kersley, aboard for her debut effort, again takes the ride and while any softening of the going would reportedly aid her chances, she looks capable of breaking through for her first win.

Race 5 No. 3 Ballynacally

The daughter of Toronado enjoyed a productive first preparation, registering wins in two of her four starts.

Those victories included a one-and-a-half-length success in a 1200m maiden on a wet track at Casterton in May.

She was making her second start on that occasion and went on to complete a double when stepping up to Benchmark 58 grade at Geelong last time.

While she raced on a Soft 5 surface at Warracknabeal, she has already shown she handles a Good 4 track after finishing second on debut at Donald in early May.

Adam Chambers’ representative was narrowly beaten over 1200m at Warracknabeal on her final run last preparation and has trialled well ahead of her return to action.

Race 1 No. 13 Bellabama

Daniel Bowman’s Bellabama has been the subject of early market support in the opening 1600m maiden.

The daughter of Alabama Express has placed in the top three at both starts this preparation, with those efforts coming over 1400m at Warrnambool.

She stayed on well on a wet track last time out and is expected to appreciate stepping out to the extra 200m.

Linda Meech is an eye-catching jockey booking for the filly.

Bellabama now trades at $3.30 with Unibet Australia after being available at $5 when markets first opened.

Stats Say:

Trainer Symon Wilde boasts a near 21 percent strike-rate at the venue, recording 44 wins from 211 runners at Terang.

He has seven declarations across four races on the program.

The handler is double-handed in three events, including the third race where newcomers Gasoline Rainbow and Ramelle are expected to start at big odds.

The resuming Plenty Of Grunt is another likely to be sent out at a price in the sixth.

Wilde also saddles Matrooshi and Wichitall in the following event before closing the card with Tremamore and penultimate-start winner My Uncle Did It in the 1600m finale.
