Murray Bridge Value Bet - Race 2 No. 10 Vega Now
From a very good family that includes Group 1 winners Bint Marscay, Filante and Kenny's Best Pal is Vega Now.
The filly was heavily supported on debut at Balaklava and, while that was still a competitive third-place finish, she was green and a lack of race experience told in that June 14 performance.
While she could still be a preparation or two away from furnishing, don't be surprised if there's sharp improvement now with that race-day hit-out under her belt.
That market support came off the back of a Murray Bridge trial win on June 4, where the youngster caught the eye late to salute in a 950m heat, getting the better of Le Morne, who was competitive at a big price in a good race here on debut last month.
Getting to 1200m should suit at start two, where Vega Now receives a 2kg weight drop from her Balaklava outing, while a nose roll has been applied.
Carlton Draught Handicap Tips (Race 3)
Murray Bridge Favourite - Race 3 No. 2 Orlova
She was building into the campaign well, and off a second-up performance that put the writing on the wall at Morphettville on May 30.
Orlova looked close to a good thing third-up on June 20, although she only narrowly got the job done there as the best bet of that program.
The filly didn't do herself any favours when getting back and finding trouble, but negotiated a passage in the straight, returned to the inside and pinned the ears back late to salute in the final stride.
While she's up in the weights, there's still good relief after the claim, and this assignment doesn't appear to be any harder.
The extra furlong should suit the daughter of Russian Camelot, who stayed a mile at that third-up attempt where she also ticked the Heavy 10 box, so the testing conditions on Saturday shouldn't bother the three-year-old.

Murray Bridge Best Bet - Race 7 No. 6 Like A Drifter
Like A Drifter now takes on older, more seasoned rivals, but it's always a good time late in the season for a three-year-old to tackle this grade.
He finds himself superbly weighted back on the 54kg minimum after Tala Hutchinson's claim, with the apprentice aboard for all four wins this campaign.
The winning streak has been completed on rain-affected tracks, all by big margins apart from the brave third-up triumph here over Redders, who had placed behind a smart one prior to that.
The opposition also looks quite limited, with second market elect Jacks On Ice an honest campaigner who brings decent enough form but hasn't won since November 2024.
Miso faces an even longer drought, with October 2024 the last time he was in the winner's stall, while the wide draw isn't a major knock at Murray Bridge, especially late on a testing surface.
Thomas Farms Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Murray Bridge Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Halliwell
Fitness gave out first-up on the Morphettville Parks circuit when third on June 6.
That race was taken out by Omaha Dawn, who franked the form last Saturday when defeating handy sprinter Sir Now.
The rising six-year-old then had nothing go her way at Caulfield Heath on June 17, settling back, chasing throughout and also finding trouble late.
That was a much better performance than it reads, and she's since moved well in a Murray Bridge jump-out on June 29.
Her four-peat last winter was recorded on wet tracks, including two dominant Heavy-track wins, and having never finished in the money from two Good-track attempts, rain-affected ground is clearly the key to this mare.
