Race 1 No. 3 He'sthechief
This three-year-old dropped the rider as a beaten fav at start two and as a result, he was sent back to the trials.
He'sthechief won a May 14 heat before contesting a Dubbo maiden on June 6 and he ran the fastest last 200m of that event.
He beat home two subsequent winners in that Dubbo affair and the gelding was again doing his best work late at start four.
That winner (Occult) is no slouch, with the ex-Godolphin runner saluting at $1.12 and He'sthechief finds a weaker assignment here.

Race 5 No. 7 Tanglewood Jimmy
This son of Stratum Star progressed nicely over his second prep, which includes a second-up breakthrough on September 19.
Tanglewood Jimmy followed that up with a decent provincial showing (race-fastest last 200m of a Newcastle Class 1).
After settling back from a wide draw, he recorded another fourth-place finish when making ground in a Randwick Highway.
He ran the fastest last 200m of that Sydney event before dropping in grade for win two, while the June 13 return was sound.

Race 3 No. 5 Northern Exposure
While he didn't progress in two subsequent runs over his first prep, Northern Exposure caught the eye on debut in February and he wasn't knocked about in a June 29 trial.
He's been supported early with Ladbrokes, with $8 taken and Northern Exposure is now on the third line of betting at $5.
