Several runners look well placed to build on recent efforts, while a handful of lightly raced horses appear capable of taking another step forward as the winter racing season gathers momentum.

Drinkwise Plate Tips (Race 3)
Randwick-Kensington Best Bet - Race 3 No. 6 Konsa
With any luck, Konsa could have broken through in either of his two May attempts, and from a kinder draw third-up on Wednesday, the Chris Waller-trained gelding should get his chance to salute.
The son of Ocean Park caught the eye first-up at Warwick Farm, coming from back in the field in a slowly run affair to record the fastest last 400m of that May 6 program.
Although beaten as an even-money favourite at Newcastle second-up, there was still plenty of merit to the performance.
He came from off the speed in an event taken out by the leader and recorded the fastest closing sectionals of the race, while as runner-up he put a huge space on the next horse home in that provincial affair.
Gun veteran hoop Nash Rawiller takes the reins and, from an inside alley, expect more positive tactics now that the gelding is fitter.
Cactus Imaging Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Randwick-Kensington Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 6 Hinzel
This son of Snitzel is well bred, being the first foal out of lightly raced stakes winner Hindaam, who is from the same family as Group 1 winners Merchant Navy and Bonaria.
Hinzel could not have been more impressive in his Kembla Grange debut victory on November 4, coming from off the speed to record a soft two-length triumph.
He recorded the fastest last 800m, 600m and 400m of the card in the process and was immediately spelled, while a soft tick-over trial was completed last month ahead of this return.
The appointment of Nash Rawiller is noteworthy, with the jockey boasting a 29% career strike-rate for the Kerry Parker stable, including three winners from 11 engagements this season.
Rawiller has begun winter in good touch, with four winners from 11 rides in June, including a winning double at Randwick last Saturday.
Catanach's Jewellers Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Randwick-Kensington Favourite - Race 5 No. 2 Surf's Up
It is close to D-Day now for Surf's Up, who gets a nice drop in grade back to the midweeks after being beaten as favourite in a Fillies and Mares BM78 on May 23.
She came from back and wide in an event taken out by Group 1-placed stablemate Declichy Boulevard, who was only beaten just over a length in much stronger company last Saturday.
Bravissima was beaten around three lengths in that race and franked the form by saluting at Randwick last Saturday.
There is a query as to whether there was a slight setback ahead of the latest run, given she was more than five weeks between appearances following her April 15 attempt.
A second-up performance had suggested she was closing in on a peak before instead completing a tick-over trial on May 11, while 2kg claimer Siena Grima takes the reins and her last four metro winners have all come for the Waller yard.
Asahi Super Dry Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Randwick-Kensington Value Bet - Race 6 No. 6 Bestower
Although she is a galloper that needs luck given her racing pattern, Bestower appears to be building towards a peak performance.
She ended a decent drought earlier in the season when stepping to this distance at Warwick Farm and bolting in with the December 3 affair.
All three autumn efforts have been good, including the Randwick-Kensington return when finishing fourth and recording the fastest closing sectionals of the race.
That was the only time she has finished outside the placings in three runs at this circuit, while an honest chasing effort at Scone followed before the latest sixth-of-12 finish at Randwick when making late ground in a BM88.
This is a suitable drop in grade and, with the mare fit, capable on all surfaces and reunited with Tyler Schiller, who was aboard for her last victory and the two second-place finishes leading into that success, she looks to have found her race.
