Sue Murphy's representative started at big odds that day and it was a similar story when returning to action here last month.
Racing on a Soft 7 surface, the gelding was ridden cold before finishing strongly to lose out by just over a length in a 1400m event, while the form of that contest has been boosted by the fourth horse home scoring impressively at Hamilton.
The step up in distance is a positive for the seven-year-old, with his most recent victory coming over 2000m at Naracoorte in August, and the son of Foxwedge boasts winning form on Heavy ground and may prove capable of surprising some better-fancied rivals.
