Linebacker (barrier 14) saluted over the mile third-up on March 8 when successful in the Randwick Guineas and that form has stood up, with second, third and fourth all filling the trifecta of the Rosehill Guineas.

He has a similar profile to Celestial Legend, who won the last year's Doncaster Mile with 49kg as a three-year-old following a Randwick Guineas victory.

The son of Super Seth will also contest the Doncaster Mile fourth-up after running in the Eskimo Prince, Hobartville and Randwick Guineas (same path as Celestial Legend).

After saluting in the CF Orr Stakes first-up, Another Wil (barrier 18) was unlucky not to record a Group 1 double when third in the All-Star Mile.

He'll carry 56.5kg and while he was well-held as favourite with 50kg in the 2024 Doncaster Mile, the Ciaron Maher-trained galloper was on the seven day turnaround and at end of his second prep when contesting last year's edition.

With 10 wins and eight placings from 20 starts, Gringotts (barrier 6) has put together a tidy record and following an eye-catching return in the Group 3 Liverpool City Cup, he took out the George Ryder Stakes second-up.

That March 22 performance was his first attempt at Group 1 level and with two third-up wins last year recorded over a mile, there's still improvement to come with the son of Per Incanto.

Tom Kitten (barrier 1) is in great touch, with an unlucky Futurity Stakes return followed by an All-Star Mile victory, where he defeated Mr Brightside, Another Wil and Light Infantry Man (subsequent Australian Cup winner),

He also performed well last time out when finishing fifth-of-eleven in the George Ryder Stakes.

With six Doncaster Mile wins, Chris Waller is one victory away from equalling both Tommy Smith and Gai Waterhouse, who share the record of seven wins for this Group 1.

Militarize (barrier 7), Anisette (barrier 20), Moira (barrier 21), Kovalica (barrier 17) and Firestorm (barrier 8) are Chris Waller's representatives for the 2025 Doncaster Mile.

Doncaster Mile Winners

The Doncaster Mile is one of Sydney's most famous races and the pinnacle of The Championships day one.

Also known as the Doncaster Handicap, the Mile was previously held every Easter Monday, but was moved to be one of the showpiece events of the Championships, the grand final of autumn racing in Sydney.

The George Ryder Stakes is traditionally the key lead-up event for the Doncaster Mile, with the Ranvet Stakes, Randwick Guineas and All-Star Mile also among the main form races.

Mr Brightside (2022 and 2023) and Celestial Legend (2024) have won the last three editions of the Doncaster Mile.
