Class prevailed fresh before her Kewney Stakes victory and that race went more that 7.5-lengths faster than the Group 1 All-Star Mile (run on the same card).

I'm not sure on the fillies who are coming out of the farcically run Phar Lap Stakes, with Declichy Boulevard a distance query and the others look a run short.

Verona Rose could easily be the pick of the New South Wales brigade and while she's already undefeated, this three-year-old can go to another level at 2000m.

Her trainer (Gary Portelli) declared her as an Australian Oaks contender after her brilliant last start Kembla Grange Classic win (second-fastest last 200m of the meeting).
