A strong field of 10 have accepted for the 2022 George Main Stakes, where we see two of Australia's premier middle-distance horse in Zaaki (barrier 7) and Anamoe (barrier 8) clash over the mile at Royal Randwick.
Both gallopers arrive off first-up wins, with Anamoe taking out the Winx Stakes on return, while Zaaki defended his Tramway Stakes crown on September 3.
Champion jockey James McDonald sticks with the Godolphin four-year-old.
While she's fancied to win the Caulfield Cup, Duais (barrier 5) proved her weight-for-age credentials last autumn with brilliant victories in the Australia Cup and Tancred Stakes.
The Edward Cummings-trained mare is expected to improve off her 10th-place finish first-up via the Memsie Stakes.
Fangirl (barrier 3) caught the eye on return with a second behind Anamoe in the Winx Stakes and the four-year-old will be joined by stablemate Hinged (barrier 1).
Four-time Group 1 winner Montefilia (barrier 6) was scratched from the Chelmsford Stakes due to track downgrades on September 3.
Randwick is currently rated a Soft 6 and while a top of 15mm of rain is predicted on Thursday, the forecast looks mostly clear from Friday onwards,
