Benedetta ($6) split Jimmysstar and Schwarz when runner-up in the William Reid Stakes, and the five-year-old arrived to that Group 1 assignment off an unlucky Newmarket Handicap attempt.

Schwarz ($6) has won two trials following an all-the-way victory in the William Reid Stakes and that's been a strong form race, with Jimmysstar and Reserve Bank (subsequent Group 1 winners) both produced from that Moonee Valley feature.

The Doomben 10,000 was run over 1350m for a long period of time, but in 2016 the distance was changed to 1200m, which we see it run over today.
