Chris Waller has prepared the last two Coolmore Classic winners and the champion trainer is well placed to record a hat-trick, with Lady Shenandoah (barrier 13) the early market elect and while she had also accepted for the Phar Lap Stakes (Race 6), she's been scratched from that Group 2.

A Group 1 Flight Stakes winner at start four prior to a spell, the three-year-old opened her 2025 account with an impressive fresh victory in the Light Fingers Stakes before taking out the Group 1 Surround Stakes on March 1.

Waller has also accepted with Olentia (barrier 3), Firestorm (barrier 15), Scarlet Oak (barrier 2) and Lazzura (barrier 8).

Lady Of Camelot (barrier 14) has been runner-up behind Lady Shenandoah in her last two outings and last year's Golden Slipper winner did push the Chris Waller-trained filly in the Surround Stakes.

This will be Lady Of Camelot's first attempt past 1400m.

Amelia's Jewel (barrier 6) was winless in five runs over her first campaign for Neasham & Archibald, however, she broke a drought on March 1 when successful in the Guy Walter Stakes.

The five-year-old is topweight with 58kg and Sunline was the last winner of this race to carry more weight to victory, with the champion mare lumping 60kg in both 2000 and 2002.

Coeur Volante (barrier 1) had blinkers applied ahead of her impressive last start performance, where she recorded a four-length victory when second-up in the Mannerism Stakes.

The daughter of Proisir was a beaten fav when fourth-of-thirteen via her only third-up attempt to date (2023 Thousand Guineas) and the first three home in that race (Joliestar, Kimochi and Skybird) have all subsequently won at Group 1 level.

Alsephina (barrier 5) was unsuited first-up in the Guy Walter Stakes, but she hasn't finished outside of the top two in four second-up attempts and the mare was an impressive second-up winner over a similar distance last campaign.

Blake Shinn takes the reins of Alsephina for Saturday's Coolmore Classic assignment.

Victorian visitor Marble Arch (barrier 9) has been in terrific form, which includes a two-length victory last start via the Blamey Stakes, while Attrition and Zardozi (both Group 1 winners) finished second and third in that event.

Prior to that, she was beaten by Duke De Sessa and the 2024 Caulfield Cup winner arguably should've franked that form last Saturday (unlucky in the Australian Cup Prelude).

15 runners make up the final field for the 2025 Coolmore Classic, which is one of the premier fillies and mares races on the Australian racing calendar.

Coolmore Classic Winners

First run as the Fillies & Mares Classic in 1973, this event was one of the first fillies and mares features introduced in Sydney, gaining Group 1 status in 1986 and run as the Coolmore Classic from 1996.

Contested over 1500m at Rosehill under handicap conditions, the Coolmore Classic winner is exempt from ballot for the 2023 Doncaster Mile and the 2023 Queen Of The Turf, which are both contested later in the Sydney carnival at Randwick.

Lighthouse (2022), Espiona (2023) and Zougotcha (2024) have won the last three editions of the Coolmore Classic.
