Via Sistina brought up Group 1 win number 11 when defending her Cox Plate title with a brave last-start performance at Moonee Valley, and her spring will culminate in the Champions Stakes, another feature she is looking to defend.

Her 2000m record under Chris Waller is outstanding, with six wins and two placings from eight attempts over the distance in Australia.
At $1.50 with Unibet Australia, Via Sistina is the clear favourite to win the 2025 Champions Stakes.
Her stablemate Lindermann ($9) is the only other runner at a single-figure quote, and the gelding is in career-best form this campaign, with three wins and a narrow second from his past four starts.
The son of Lonhro has been dominant in his last two Sydney triumphs and now faces a fresh challenge at Group 1 weight-for-age level.
Ceolwulf is also in the market, although he’s more likely to contest the Champions Mile instead, and he shares a $12 quote with Tom Kitten, a very classy galloper when right.
Things haven’t quite gone to plan this preparation, but he arrives fitter, and rising to 2000m fourth-up should suit perfectly.
