Magic Time overcame trouble to salute first-up in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes and the six-time stakes winner is aiming for her third Group 1 victory in the Canterbury Stakes.

The prospect of rain shouldn't hurt her chances, as the daughter of Hellbent is a two-time winner on Heavy ground (both at Randwick) and the last of those was recorded on a Heavy 10 surface in last year's Group 1 All Aged Stakes.

Switzerland ($4.40) was a beaten favourite first-up in the Black Caviar Lightning on return, however, it was still an even return from the Chris Waller-trained three-year-old.
Testing ground remains a query unknown for the Coolmore Colt, with the most recent Flemington miss being his only time racing on a surface worse than a Soft 5.
Sunshine In Paris ($6) recorded her second Group 1 victory in the Champions Sprint last spring and she bookended that campaign, which opened with a stylish Group 2 success when taking out the Sheraco Stakes.
The five-year-old has an excellent first-up record, with three wins from four attempts and she was terrific via her only fresh loss, where the mare was runner-up in The Galaxy after working home in the inferior going on last year's Golden Slipper Day program.

Canterbury Stakes Winners
The Canterbury Stakes is a Group 1 weight-for-age event held over 1300 meters at Royal Randwick racecourse and run on the same day as the Randwick Guineas.
This feature gained Group 1 status in 2013, which was taken out by a champion in Pierro and with the winner of this race being exempt from ballot for the George Ryder Stakes and 2023 Doncaster Mile, it has become an important lead-up event to the Sydney Autumn Carnival.
Forbidden Love (2022), Artorius (2023) and Lady Laguna (2024) have won the last three editions of the Canterbury Stakes.
