This three-year-old is from the same family as Portland Singa (2005 Brisbane Cup winner) and he's by Tarzino, a two-time Group 1 winner who was successful over 2500m in the 2015 Victoria Derby.

2500m looks the main query on breeding, however, Shanwah is holding form and he was a month between runs when taking out the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes on March 22.
