Jack Draper vs Quentin Halys Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Draper makes ATP return in Dubai

Draper has been sidelined since the US Open last year with an arm injury, but did return for Great Britain in Davis Cup earlier this month. Draper was in career-best form before being struck down with another injury and looking like one of the few players with the chance to consistently trouble the Big 2 of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The Brit will be hoping to get back to those heights sooner rather than later as he prepares to make his Dubai main draw debut. Meanwhile, Halys is back at the scene of his best ever ATP tournament, where he made a run to the semi-finals last year.

Halys has once again come through qualifying in Dubai, so he has matches under his belt - something Draper of course doesn't. However, the Brit has been planning this comeback for a while and was due to play the Aussie summer before pulling out last minute. I think Draper is ready for this one, but Halys is good enough to push this Over 22.5 games and make it competitive.

Basically no form to go on here for Draper, who will also be making his main draw debut in Dubai.

Draper hasn't played a proper tour-level match since the US Open, while this will be his first ATP event since the grass of Queens. The Brit was sidelined with a badly bruised arm, which caused him to miss the end of 2026 and the Australian Open.

The 24-year-old returned to action for Great Britain in Davis Cup earlier this month, where he cruised past Norway's World No. 313 Viktor Durasovic 6-2 6-2.

Draper was 30-9 in 2025 before his injury surfaced, winning the Indian Wells Masters and also making the final of Madrid.

It's been a busy start to the season for Halys - this will already be his seventh tournament as he aims to get back inside the top 50 after last year's career-best campaign.

Halys has gone a perfect 5-0 in tour-level first round matches in 2026, winning his opening match at Brisbane, Adelaide, the Australian Open, Rotterdam and Doha.

However, Halys has lost his last nine second round outings, so stringing back-to-back matches together is a big problem.

The Frenchman lost to Arthur Fils in Doha last week, but has come through qualifying in Dubai with wins over Chris O'Connell and Alexander Shevchenko to make the main draw.
