Syngenta Maiden Plate Tips (Race 2)
Moe Best Bet - Race 2 No. 14 From Yesterday
Moe has been a happy hunting ground for the Busuttin & Young stable this season, with four winners and four placegetters prepared from 13 starters at the circuit during 2025/26.
Among their leading chances on Thursday’s program is From Yesterday, who showed enough on debut in a strong two-year-old maiden.
The gelding lacked a sharp turn-of-foot there over 1100m before improving despite a sharp rise in class to a Saturday handicap on May 16.
That latest effort again suggested more ground would suit and he now gets that opportunity stepping to a mile at start three.
Although meeting older gallopers this time around, the rising three-year-old would not need to be a world-beater to be taking this out.

Moe Value Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Tessatori
Tessatori was respected in the market first-up at Seymour on April 26 when returning from injury for the Dan Meagher stable.
While never threatening there, the performance was still a pass mark for the mare.
Blinkers are reapplied on Thursday, a key gear change that was also in effect for a tick-over trial on May 20 where she looked sharp.
The mare also had little luck in her first two Victorian appearances, having been badly held up at Mornington before finding restricted room in a metro BM64 last May.
Tessatori had shown ability in Brisbane prior to shifting south, including a Saturday metro victory over Mianco Bianco, who is rated well above anything she faces here.

Moe Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 9 Scalable
The gap between runs may indicate a slight setback for Scalable, who was well held second-up at Sale on May 17.
The mare was heavily supported in betting there for her second Victorian appearance, although the first two runners cleared out from the remainder.
As the jockey noted post-race, Scalable was unable to build momentum after settling back in the field.
Anything resembling her fresh run at Pakenham would make her extremely hard to beat here after she looked to have that race won before Cooly fought back late.
Cooly has since placed in a much stronger Saturday race before recording a dominant Caulfield Heath victory on Wednesday, while Scalable had also shown ability earlier in her career for Bjorn Baker.
