Eagle Farm serves up a solid 10-race Saturday program, with plenty of depth across the card and several runners arriving in solid form.

Eagle Farm Favourite - Race 4 No. 7 Thats Archies Girl

Racing well without much luck, Thats Archies Girl arrives at Saturday's 0-65 assignment hard fit after three runs this campaign.

The Toowoomba-trained five-year-old also gets a useful weight drop to 56kg after Jye Williams' claim, having carried 60kg at Doomben on August 15 when again finding herself in a tricky position in a slowly run race.

She still finished strongly there, while her previous August 1 effort was another eye-catching performance after overcoming trouble to run third-of-nine and recording the fastest final 400m of the entire Doomben program.

Her campaign opener at Toowoomba over 1050m was also full of merit, with the trip on the sharp side and enough interference to suggest she could have won with even luck.

She comes back slightly in distance here, but a race with more pressure should allow Thats Archies Girl to settle off the speed and finish strongly in what looks a very winnable contest.

Eagle Farm Best Bet - Race 7 No. 1 Fukubana

There were some questions around Fukubana after a short three-run spring campaign last season, which included a first-up Eagle Farm defeat before he failed to measure up in Sydney and subsequently pulled up lame after the $2 million Five Diamonds.

The preparation before that ended with a Listed third over 1500m at this track, in a race won by subsequent Group 1 winner Transatlantic, while strong trial work suggested he was ready to return well this time around.

He endured a messy resumption on August 22 after striking the outside of the barriers and the hindquarters of another runner on jumping, leaving him on the back foot and shuffled towards the rear.

Under the circumstances, Fukubana finished off beautifully over 1110m and produced the fastest closing sectionals of the race, giving every indication the rise in trip second-up will suit.

There is not a great deal of depth here, with Shelstein a query over the journey and Mister Bianco unlucky last start but running out of chances, leaving Fukubana well placed to improve sharply at a more suitable distance.

Sky Racing Open Handicap Tips (Race 8)

Eagle Farm Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 12 Ser Joh

A model of consistency for the Robert Heathcote yard, Ser Joh has opened this campaign with three consecutive runner-up finishes.

The first two came at Eagle Farm, with the form from his second-up effort stacking up well through Surprise Honey, who then bolted in at Benchmark 85 level here last week.

He was subsequently beaten as favourite in a Benchmark 85 at Doomben on August 22, but was held up at a key stage while eventual winner Brindavan was able to build momentum and improve into clear running when the tempo slackened.

Ser Joh meets that rival again with just 52kg, which is 6kg less than he carried last start and represents a 2kg swing in his favour against Brindavan.

Firm ground is important for this fit son of Capitalist and, with conditions to suit, he gets an excellent opportunity to bring up a deserved sixth career win.

Ladbrokes Racing Extras Handicap Tips (Race 10)

Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 10 No. 14 Chamierro

There are some obvious queries around Chamierro first-up, with no prior fresh form and the son of Pierro generally proving more effective as his preparations progress over longer distances.

However, a big each-way price is available in an open finale and, with a soft map and just 52kg, he looks capable of outperforming his market quote.

There is a solid platform ahead of this return after three quiet winter trials, while both of his metropolitan victories have come at Eagle Farm after he recorded back-to-back wins here during the spring last season.

His most recent appearance at this circuit resulted in a narrow defeat on March 21, when he worked early to lead, fought off his challengers and was only denied on the line by a runner who enjoyed the softer passage.

Still lightly raced and having always shown some raw ability, Chamierro has enough upside to warrant respect at a big price.
