With 10 wins and 11 placings from 28 starts, Rey Magnerio has been a remarkably consistent sprinter throughout his career.

The six-year-old will contest The Goodwood third-up, having resumed with a competitive sixth-of-11 finish in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes before heading west for a runner-up effort behind the in-form Jigsaw in The Quokka.

In a competitive market with Unibet Australia, Rey Magnerio is a $5 favourite to win The Goodwood in 2026.

Lightly raced filly Extragalactic has shown above-average ability across two campaigns and has continued to improve this autumn, opening her 2026 account with back-to-back victories.

While a hat-trick eluded her on April 25, she still caught the eye when finishing second in the Group 2 Tobin Bronze Stakes, a race that has produced two of the past three winners of The Goodwood.

At $6, Extragalactic shares the second line of betting with Flying For Fun, who opened her autumn campaign with a Group 3 victory and was unlucky last start in the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes when finishing fourth-of-13.

Tycoon Star secured a third stakes success last start in the Tobin Bronze Stakes, following runner-up finishes at both his first and second runs this preparation, and he has now won two of his past three attempts over 1200m.

He is priced at $8 alongside Recon and Point Barrow, both of whom are promising sprinters.

Recon has won six of 11 starts, including a comfortable Listed Hareeba Stakes victory when second-up at Mornington, and he progressed quickly through the grades last year.

Point Barrow is an exciting filly with a strong finishing burst, and after winning second-up at Caulfield, she caught the eye last start from the rear when finishing fifth in the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes.
