Although Giga Kick (barrier 12) wasn't able to salute in four spring outings following a long layoff, he was only narrowly defeated in The Everest and the gelding has a shorter turnaround for this autumn/winter campaign.

The two-time Group 1 winner is still lightly raced, with five-year-old having completed 15 starts and he'll contest The Goodwood first-up off three jump-out's.

Under the set weights and penalties conditions of The Goodwood, Giga Kick is superbly placed with 54.5kg.

Ameena (barrier 8) recorded a a runner-up finish via her return run in the Robert Sangster Stakes and the three-year-old was working home in the inferior going on that April 26 program.

Three-year-old's account for five of the last 25 winners of The Goodwood and the last two of those have been fillies (Lone Rock and Royal Merchant).

Charm Stone (barrier 6) won the Robert Sangster Stakes first-up, while the four-year-old has two wins and a third to her name from three second-up attempts.

Mick Price has trained three Goodwood winners, with the latest (Lombardo - 2022) being in partnership with Michael Kent (Jnr).

Price & Kent (Jnr) also prepare Reserve Bank (barrier 9), who has been been racing well in Adelaide, with the colt unbeaten from two Morphettville appearances and that includes a last start win in the Group 2 Tobin Bronze Stakes.

Stretan Angel (barrier 1) finished second in last year's Goodwood and while her winning drought stretches back to October 2023, she has been consistent in good company as a three and four-year-old.

Western Australian sprinter Generosity (barrier 5) travels across for this Group 1 assignment and the Simon Miller-trained mare was a Listed winner three starts back before placing in the Group 3 Roma Cup.

Her last start form from The Quokka reads well, where Generosity finished third in a $5 million sprint that included Headwall, Overpass, Western Empire and Front Page.
