Aeliana returned to the winner’s stall with success in last Saturday’s Group 1 Ranvet Stakes, and at $2.50 with EliteBet, she heads the 2026 Tancred Stakes market.
The four-year-old steps out to 2400m, with her last attempt at the distance resulting in a dominant Australian Derby victory last autumn.
On the second line of betting at $3.50 is Dubai Honour.
From the William Haggas stable, the gelding has tasted previous success in Australia, which includes a victory in last year’s Tancred Stakes.
He also brought up two Group 1 wins during the 2023 Sydney Autumn Carnival when successful in both the Ranvet Stakes and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Sir Delius ($4.60) will be another backing up from the Ranvet Stakes and should take his place here.
The import looms as a key player for the Waterhouse and Bott team.
He found 1600m too sharp two starts back, but improved off that in the Ranvet Stakes last Saturday when finishing third behind Aeliana, a much more competitive performance over 2000m.
Vauban was a first-up winner over 2000m at Rosehill when successful in the Sky High Stakes, and at $6 he rounds out the single-figure chances for the 2026 Tancred Stakes.

Tancred Stakes Winners
