The 2022 TAB Champions Stakes is a Group One 2000m event run on the last day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Cox Plate winner Anamoe (barrier four) will be seen one more time this spring, where he tackles the runner-up I'm Thunderstruck (barrier eight) for the third time this prep.

We can't forget Zaaki (barrier one) who draws the fence and was only one-length away in that Cox Plate, and did win this race comfortably last year.

Three-year-old Elliptical (barrier six) comes through a second placing in the Spring Champion Stakes, while Mr Maestro (barrier five) comes through a fourth placing in the Victoria Derby.
