Mangalore Park Maiden Plate Tips (Race 3)

Seymour Roughie - Race 3 No. 8 Mathletes

Although she's had plenty of chances, Mathletes has been consistent for the Steven Noble stable, recording five top-three finishes from 12 starts, including three on Heavy tracks.

The four-year-old again ran well at Wangaratta just under a fortnight ago, finishing second over 1000m after closing strongly on a Heavy 10 surface.

Similar conditions are expected on Sunday, while the rise in distance looks another positive for the New Zealand-bred mare.

She has also performed well at Seymour, finishing runner-up here two starts ago.

Samantha Noble has partnered the mare at all 12 starts and, despite meeting a few less-exposed rivals, the pair can spring a surprise.

Magic Millions Digital BM62 Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Seymour Value Bet - Race 6 No. 4 Sir Rockford

A previous Seymour winner, Sir Rockford registered a dominant victory over 2046m on a Soft track earlier this season.

The seven-year-old has since been tried over a variety of distances, with his latest effort producing a solid third in a 2238m Benchmark 56 at Werribee.

That form has stood up well, with both the fourth and sixth placegetters winning subsequently, while the gelding has been freshened since that run.

Testing conditions are another positive, having placed in three of four starts on Heavy ground.

While the drop back in distance isn't ideal, a favourable draw gives Tom Madden every chance to return him to the winner's stall.

Seymour Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 6 The Charlatan

This preparation has started in encouraging fashion, with The Charlatan following a first-up second at Donald by breaking through impressively at Wangaratta.

After handling Soft ground on resumption, the switch to a Heavy surface appeared to suit as he comfortably accounted for his rivals over 1590m.

The form has started to hold up, with the runner-up subsequently producing a strong second placing at Hamilton.

Patrick Payne's gelding had already shown he could perform over this sort of trip, finishing runner-up in a 2000m Warrnambool maiden last December.

Facing previous winners for the first time, he looks capable of making it back-to-back victories.

Seymour Best Bet - Race 9 No. 10 Our Justify

After breaking her maiden at Mornington in December, Our Justify has returned in good order with top-three finishes at both starts this preparation.

Her latest effort came in stronger metropolitan company at Caulfield, where she stuck on well along the rail over 1200m to finish just over half a length from the winner.

Jerome Hunter's three-year-old has been ridden patiently at both runs this campaign.

The step up to 1300m looks another positive, although she is yet to race on Heavy ground.

The drop back to Benchmark 62 company is in her favour, and with Craig Newitt aboard, she looks capable of adding a second career victory.
