Even without intent, Shropshire Lad almost pinched a lead-up trial at Tamworth on April 30 and the three-year-old can get away with this Class 1 fresh.

Scone Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 15 Off The Scale
Wet ground remains a query with the Off The Scale, however, she's still lightly raced and the daughter Zousain made ground at start two on a Soft 6.
The three-year-old was heavily backed on debut, where 1200m was too sharp and following a 1500m breakthrough, she wasn't disgraced in the Group 3 Spring Stakes.
Her Tamworth return was hard to miss, where Off The Scale rattled home with the fastest last 200m of a 1400m Class 1 and she's suited up to a mile here.
Darley Scone Cup Tips (Race 7)
Scone Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 7 Loch Eagle
It's a tricky race to assess this far out, as the track conditions could change and it appears to be a more open affair than the early market suggests.
Loch Eagle could be the forgotten runner and with two quiet trials followed by a searching 1200m workout on May 7, he's prepped up well for this return attempt.
He's a proven fresh performer and without many short term options for a well-exposed six-year-old, Loch Eagle looks targeted at the Scone Cup first-up.
Vinery Country Cup Tips (Race 8)
Scone Value Bet - Race 8 No. 6 Rhythm Is A Dancer
He won this race two years ago and off two encouraging performances to open his autumn campaign, Rhythm Is A Dancer is building towards a peak.
His fresh outing at Muswellbrook was effectively a trial, where the gelding was ridden cold from a wide draw and he finished off well over five furlongs.
Getting to 1400m looks ideal off his last start chasing effort at the Gold Coast and along with drawing kinder third-up, soft ground is also a plus for Rhythm Is A Dancer.
