Chelsea are in action for their first preseason friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday night at Accor in the Sydney Super Cup, with the Blues backed for a low-scoring win and clean sheet.
It was a nightmare end to the season for Chelsea in the EPL - they lost 10 of their last 14 games, including the FA Cup final against Manchester City in May. The Blues ended up finishing the league in 10th position, missing out on European football altogether.
Xabi Alonso has taken charge of the club and several big names are set to feature during this Sydney Super Cup campaign, including Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Estevao and Wesley Fofana. Sydney-born midfielder Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli could also see some game time - the 16-year-old recently signed his first professional contract with Chelsea and is considered a star of the future, although he's likely to pledge his allegiance to England.
The Wanderers meanwhile are also coming off a terrible domestic season, finishing bottom of the A-League ladder with just five wins from 26 games. Also starting fresh with a new manager in Ufuk Talay, the Wanderers got back to winning ways with a controlled 2-0 victory over Tigers FC in the Australia Cup Round of 32 last week.
Obviously this is a friendly where Chelsea won't be going out and the big names will probably only get one half of game time at most. Only small stakes for friendlies is the rule, but we saw Tottenham only beat Auckland FC 2-0 on the weekend and a similar sort of outcome appeals here - I'm backing BTTS - No and Under 3.5 goals.

It came as no surprise to see Alen Stajcic given his marching orders, with former Sydney FC boss Ufuk Talay taking charge for the upcoming season.
Talay got his first look at the Wanderers in the Australia Cup Round of 32 last week, coming away with a 2-0 win on the road over Tigers FC.
New signing Miguel de Pizio opened the scoring in the 67th minute before former Socceroos winger Brandon Borrello doubled his side's advantage four minutes later.

Former Melbourne City defender Germán Ferreyra played his first game for the Wanderers in the Australia Cup and should feature at the back again alongside fiery central defender Anthony Pantazopoulos.
It remains to be seen if former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser will get any game time after he was left out of the squad last week.
