Rosehill hosts Saturday metropolitan racing on November 7, with the Five Diamonds (1800m) headlining the program alongside a competitive supporting card.

The feature provides the main attraction in Sydney as the Melbourne Cup Carnival concludes with Champions Day at Flemington, while several promising gallopers look to continue their progression through the grades.

Rosehill Tips November 7

Midway Handicap Tips (Race 2)

Rosehill Roughie - Race 2 No. 10 My Phar Lady

A more positive ride could bring My Phar Lady right into contention third-up, with a favourable inside draw giving Ashley Morgan the opportunity to settle closer to the speed than in her previous two appearances.

The mare demonstrated her ability to race prominently when winning a Rosehill Midway on February 25 before backing up with a third-place finish over 1500m on March 21, providing two encouraging references for this level.

Her first two runs this preparation have been better than the finishing positions suggest, having settled well back under a big weight first-up before encountering traffic at crucial stages in her latest assignment.

Despite that interference, My Phar Lady recorded the second-fastest closing sectionals of the October 24 contest, suggesting she was ready to improve again after a run that always looked likely to leave her short of peak fitness.

The extra 100m should suit, while a return to Rosehill and a more economical passage from the draw give her every chance to improve sharply.

Singapore Pools Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Rosehill Favourite - Race 5 No. 1 Cashout

Cashout heads north in search of his fourth victory from five starts this preparation, with the Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained gelding progressing strongly through the grades since returning from a spell.

The son of Capitalist has been a different galloper since being gelded, winning three times this campaign and most recently making a successful transition from synthetic racing back to turf with a dominant Cranbourne victory.

His only defeat came second-up at Sandown behind Veyepee, who subsequently won a stronger contest at Mornington before performing well in Benchmark 90 company at Flemington on Oaks Day.

That form reads particularly well for this assignment, with Veyepee having demonstrated a level of ability above what Cashout encounters here, while the Cranbourne performance confirmed he has continued to improve.

Tactical speed should help Cashout secure a favourable position at Rosehill, and with consistent recent form for a modest Sydney assignment, this looks a suitable opportunity to continue his winning run.

Five Diamonds Tips (Race 8)

Rosehill Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 9 Plymouth

Plymouth has been building towards the Five Diamonds throughout the spring, and while his ability to match some of the more established rivals remains a question, his three performances this preparation have been difficult to fault.

The gelding returned with a sound effort at Flemington before producing an excellent performance in the Epsom Handicap, demonstrating he was capable of measuring up in stronger company over a suitable distance.

He improved again in the Craven Plate on October 24, when Tom Kitten swept around the field at a crucial stage and disrupted Plymouth's momentum, although he picked up strongly again late and would have finished closer with a more aggressive ride.

Saturday's 1800m contest has clearly been the target, with the gelding now approaching peak fitness and Tim Clark taking the reins, while his previous Soft 7 victory at Caulfield confirms he can handle rain-affected conditions if required.

Connections experimented with longer distances earlier in his career, but his recent performances suggest 1800m-2000m is the sweet spot, and with a preparation designed around this assignment, Plymouth looks capable of delivering a major performance.

Grant Burge Handicap Tips (Race 9)

Rosehill Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 11 Show Business

A strong early tempo could set the race up perfectly for Show Business, with several prominent on-speed runners drawn towards the outside in Saturday's penultimate event at Rosehill.

The lightly raced five-year-old resumed at Warwick Farm with an encouraging performance that was better than the finishing position suggests, having attracted market support at a big price before encountering significant interference.

Although Saturday's Benchmark 78 represents a rise in grade, the mare still has scope to progress to this level, particularly against her own sex in a race that appears to lack considerable depth.

Sword Play commands respect on class, but she'll be working early and a number of the other runners have questions to answer, while Zac Lloyd taking the ride with 4kg less than Show Business carried first-up is a significant advantage.

The mare was also unlucky when concluding her previous campaign, has shown she can produce a strong finish when circumstances suit and appears effective on varying surfaces, making her particularly appealing if the anticipated early speed eventuates.

Kia Ora Bloodlines To Headlines Handicap Tips (Race 10)

Rosehill Best Bet - Race 10 No. 9 Horseshoe Hill

This Bjorn Baker-trained galloper looks well placed to return to winning form in Saturday's finale, with the mare expected to improve considerably second-up after an encouraging but ultimately forgivable return on October 21.

Her latest performance has already received a form boost, with Brucy I Am subsequently winning impressively at Randwick on Melbourne Cup Day, while the rise to 1200m should provide a more suitable test.

The mare has never missed the placings in two previous second-up appearances, including a strong victory in March before stepping into Group 3 company on three occasions during April and May.

There was little luck in the second of those black-type assignments, while her previous efforts over 1400m confirm that Saturday's distance should hold no concerns despite the step up from 1000m.

Nitro is the obvious danger given his powerful finishing ability, although his lack of tactical speed could again prove costly, while Horseshoe Hill should settle ahead of him in running and gets in with 4kg less than her first-up assignment, making her the leading chance to register a third career victory.
