Matthew Seyer’s representative has shown plenty of ability in three career starts, finishing in the top four on each occasion.
His debut saw him beaten just over four lengths when runner-up in a 1300m maiden at Balaklava last month, an effort that followed two strong second-place finishes in soft-track trials at Strathalbyn and Murray Bridge.
The son of D’Argento jumped from a wide barrier on debut and again drew awkwardly when filling the placings at Strathalbyn on his second start over 1350m.
He raced on a similar surface when fourth at Morphettville Parks over 1400m two weeks ago, with that run expected to tighten him nicely for this.
Fiabesca finished ahead of him last start, but Goldfields Grey looks capable of turning the tables with blinkers applied and an inside draw for the first time.
Irongate Australia Benchmark 56 Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Gawler Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Collated
The five-year-old showed solid form last prep, registering three wins including over 1800m in a Benchmark 60 at Murray Bridge in May.
He was spelled after finishing down the field in a stronger race over the same track and trip ten days later but has returned this time in with two encouraging runs over 1400m.
First-up at Morphettville Parks, the son of Hualalai was a $21 chance and ran a bold race to finish within one-and-a-half lengths of the winner in a Benchmark 64 on good ground.
He backed that up with another honest performance at Murray Bridge earlier this month, again finishing close-up in a big field Benchmark 64.
A return to rain-affected ground poses no concern, and with Alysha Warren claiming 3kg plus the addition of blinkers, Collated looks ready to strike third-up.
2025 Sportsbet Barossa Sprint Benchmark 64 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Gawler Value Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Zestiman
Previously trained by the Hayes team, Zestiman proved effective on wet tracks last season, winning a 1200m event at Ballarat in April by nearly two lengths.
He followed that with mixed results but rounded out the prep with a strong placing on Pakenham’s synthetic surface in June before being sent for a spell.
The son of Zoustar is adaptable in his racing style, having shown the ability to lead or take a sit, and resumes here off a sound trial third over 1000m on the Parks track at Morphettville.
While untested on heavy ground, his first-up form profile reads well and he looks primed to perform fresh for the Searle Callanan stable.
At a fair price, Zestiman represents genuine value on seasonal and stable debut.

Gawler Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 1 Poison Chalice
He didn’t reach the heights expected last season after a slick return win at Caulfield, but Poison Chalice remained competitive in strong company and boasts a solid fresh record.
Resuming around his ideal distance of 1500m looks a positive, and his spring campaign last year was highlighted by an unlucky run in the Crystal Mile on Cox Plate Day, where he arguably should’ve won.
The stable couldn’t quite find his right trip as the prep wore on, alternating distances between starts, but he was never far away in any of them.
Two recent October jump-outs suggest he’s returned in good order, and despite carrying topweight in what appears an even Gawler Cup, his class should take him a long way.
Poison Chalice looks well placed to run a big race in a strong edition of the local feature.
