A number of runners arrive off encouraging recent efforts and jump-outs, while local trainer Symon Wilde brings a strong strike-rate into the card.

Best Bet
Race 7 No. 6 Scholl Deep
Lindsey Smith’s representative has performed well in wet conditions in the past, registering two wins from six starts on Heavy ground.
The most recent of those victories came in a 1500m Benchmark 64 handicap at Newcastle in May last year, where the mare scored by just over one-and-a-half lengths.
The pick has made only five appearances since that Newcastle success, including a fifth-place finish when resuming at Kilmore earlier this month.
While Scholl Deep featured prominently in betting that day, she generally improves for a run and race circumstances resulted in the mare being ridden colder than ideal.
Fred Kersley’s mount has shown good form over this distance previously and is expected to settle closer to the speed second-up despite drawing wide.

Race 4 No. 3 Bow Ribbon
The son of Nicconi has produced several solid efforts in defeat this preparation, including a third-place finish at Seymour three starts ago.
Competing over 1400m there, the gelding was beaten just under one-and-a-half lengths at Benchmark 56 level before again filling third position at Werribee.
That Werribee effort saw Bow Ribbon beaten three-and-a-half lengths over 1425m on a sound surface after starting at double-figure odds.
The six-year-old was again overlooked in betting when stepping to this distance at Echuca earlier this month and performed well in defeat once more.
Connections bypassed a recent Seymour assignment to head here and the gelding, who boasts winning Heavy-track form, looks capable of doubling his career tally.

Race 1 No. 4 Lyrebird Lady
Emma Church’s filly debuted at Geelong earlier this month and, while she could finish only eighth, the effort has clearly caught the attention of punters.
The daughter of Shalaa was beaten just over four lengths in a 1243m maiden after settling in mid-division under jockey John Allen.
Support has arrived early in betting, with the filly now into $3.70 with Unibet Australia after opening at $4.60.

Trainer Symon Wilde has enjoyed a strong season at Hamilton, operating at a 37.5% strike-rate from 16 runners during the 2025/26 campaign.
The stable is set to saddle runners in three races on Tuesday’s program, including Big Rooster in Race 6 following a solid Warrnambool effort last time.
Wilde will also be represented by Iskadeel in Race 5, while both Dreck and Queen Christine are engaged in Race 2.
